OUR MISSION

Close the digital inclusion gap for the 7 million adults the digital world left behind.

Families and individuals often face a 'services cliff' after school ends, isolation and challenges finding opportunities. Our founder Vik Aurora saw this need and built Hello, It's Me® as a bridge to a more connected, inclusive adulthood.

Hello, It's Me® is assistive technology empowering the IDD community. We provide a safe space to connect and learn, featuring our evidence-based Pathways program to guide members toward successful careers and independent living.

"Hello, It's Me® empowers individuals with IDD at every stage, through interactive stories, expert coaching, and community connection."

OUR STORY

How Hello, It's Me® came to be.

01

Vik Aurora, Kevin Drumheller, and Dr. Karyn Harvey build the bridge. 2020

After 35 years as an education leader and serial entrepreneur, Vik Aurora saw a critical gap. Adults with IDD hit a services cliff after school. Isolation, limited career paths, and no accessible digital community built for them. In 2020, Vik founded Hello, It's Me® as a co-creation with Kevin Drumheller and Dr. Karyn Harvey. Kevin brought strategic and organizational leadership. Dr. Harvey, an IDD clinician and author of three books on trauma-informed care, brought clinical depth and national recognition from NADD, AAIDD, and START. Together they built a platform shaped with the IDD community, not just for it.

Hello, It's Me® grew through sustained engagement with adults with IDD, direct support professionals, and family caregivers. Every feature reflects real needs, not assumed ones.

03

Platform live across two access channels. Early 2025

The platform launched across two access channels. Medicaid HCBS waiver and DSP agency enrollment for members supported by a provider, plus direct app access for individuals who want structured platform content.

04

First state provider partnership: Missouri. July 2025

Hello, It's Me® signed its first state provider partnership as an HCBS DD provider in Missouri. A live, revenue-generating contract, in market today.

05

Expanding to four more states. In progress, 2025 to 2026

Provider enrollment is underway in New Jersey, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Each is at a stage of enrollment as an HCBS provider for enterprise partnerships.

The people leading the platform.

A small, deliberate team, each role chosen for the lived expertise it brings to the IDD sector.

Four values, lived in the work.

01

Dignity is non-negotiable.

Connection, coaching, and life skills are delivered with respect for autonomy and each member's individual support plan.

02

Designed with, not for.

Every feature reflects real needs from adults with IDD, direct support professionals, and family caregivers—not assumptions from outside the community.

03

Evidence over claims.

Clinical governance and coaching curriculum are grounded in Dr. Karyn Harvey's trauma-informed framework and nationally recognized IDD research.

04

Safety as default.

Adults with IDD face seven times higher online exploitation risk. We built a peer-safe platform because no safe Medicaid-funded option existed.
