Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Focus EduSolutions, Inc., which operates Hello, It's Me®. Please read them. When you use our platform, our coaching, or our app, you agree to these terms.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, enrolling through an agency or waiver, or using the platform in any way, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that organization.

2. Service description

Hello, It's Me® is an assistive technology platform for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The platform provides structured social connection, life-skills content, and, for members enrolled through a Medicaid waiver or a direct support professional agency, coaching delivered by trained coaches and aligned to each member's support plan.

We may change, add, or remove features over time. We will give notice of material changes where the law or our agreements require it.

3. Eligibility requirements

• You must be 18 or older to use Hello, It's Me®.
• Coaching is available to members enrolled through a Medicaid waiver or a participating agency. Members who use the app directly receive structured content and social features, and do not receive coaching unless they are enrolled.
• Coaches and agency staff may use the platform only within the scope their agency authorizes.

4. Your account

Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone has used your account without permission. We may need to verify your identity before we act on certain requests.

5. Acceptable use policy

Hello, It's Me® is a safe, moderated environment. To keep it that way, you agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, exploit, or harm another member.
• Share content that is threatening, hateful, explicit, or otherwise harmful.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are.
• Try to access parts of the platform you are not authorized to use.
• Interfere with the security or operation of the platform.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

We monitor the platform to protect members and may remove content or suspend access to enforce these rules.

6. Coaching is not clinical care

Our coaches complete a training program developed with Dr. Karyn Harvey, our Chief Clinical Architect. Coaches are not licensed clinical professionals. Coaching helps you practice skills and work toward your goals. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or a substitute for any of them. If you are in crisis or need medical or mental health care, contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

7. Billing terms for enrolled services

For members enrolled through a Medicaid waiver or an agency, your services are funded through that program, and your agency or care coordinator manages enrollment. For any services you pay for directly, we will show the price and the billing terms before you buy, and you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide. You can cancel a paid plan as described at the point of purchase or by contacting us.

8. Our intellectual property

Hello, It's Me®, our logos, our content, our curriculum, and our software belong to Focus EduSolutions, Inc. or our licensors. You may use them only to use the service as these terms allow. You keep ownership of the content you create, and you give us the permission we need to operate the platform and deliver the service to you.

9. Liability and disclaimers

We work hard to keep the platform reliable, safe, and accurate. We provide the service on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties we have not expressly made in these terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Focus EduSolutions, Inc. and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit. This section does not affect your statutory rights.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your enrollment ends, or if we need to protect members or comply with the law. When access ends, the sections of these terms that should survive will continue to apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, unless the law requires otherwise.
